LericiPea “Lucia Roncareggi” Prize for Young Poets

The LericiPea “Lucia Roncareggi” Prize for Young Poets is a homage to the poet Lucia Roncareggi, who died prematurely. She was gifted with such an extraordinary talent for poetry that she was recommended for the Lerici Pea Prize “Inedito” Section in 1998 when she was in her twenties.

In September 1999, the LericiPea Association published Lucia Roncareggi’s booklet titled “Canto di un essere stupito dalla verità” (“A poem of a human being surprised by the truth”). Ten years after the publication, the LericiPeaPrize created the LericiPea “Lucia Roncareggi” Prize for Young Poets, upon Maria Grazia Beverini Del Santo’s proposal. The Prize took place in Tellaro, a stunning sea village near Lerici, which the poet loved dearly.

The last edition took place in 2015, but we truly hope to bring it back as soon as possible.
